Jaela arrived at the lot to find that her parents hadn’t, as they had threatened, left her absolutely nothing. They had actually done a bit of decorating!

Well, at least she has a place for all of the essentials now, and this sad lot is the first place she’s ever been able to truly call her own.

All in all, she’s not feeling too bad.
After resting up for a while, Jaela made her way to City Hall. She read they were looking for someone to polish podiums, and considering her current circumstances, she figures even basic labor isn’t too far beneath her.

Even after a look at her pitiful resume, she’s promptly given the job, and told to start tomorrow. As she’s leaving, she notices a fairly distinguished looking gentleman talking amongst the group of townies outside. Naturally, if she wants to start a family, she’ll need a husband and well…

A rich one couldn’t hurt. She starts up a conversation and quickly befriends the man, who is named Simis Bachelor. However, when she starts to flirt, she learns he’s married. She seems pretty dejected.

In fact, he has two children, Michael, who isn’t much younger than Jaela, and Bella, who he was sure would grow up to a be a beauty. With this new information Jaela says goodbye, then heads home to study up for her new job.
